We had a fantastic stay! The dinner buffet was beyond excellent, and the complimentary glass of wine at dinner was such a lovely touch. Our spacious room with a balcony overlooking the river was a dream! I would definitely return, although the bathroom could have been larger.

The location was marvellous, just 5 minutes walk from Main Plaza. There was a great restaurant, a market and amazing stores next door.
Wi-Fi was pretty slow, made me a little nervous.

The location of the hotel was excellent, in close proximity to all San Antonio nightlife including the Majestic theatre. Moreover, it was near to other major attractions as well as river walk.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Hotel Valencia Riverwalk during a recent heat wave in Texas (July 2011); the entire hotel was cool and dark, giving it a very relaxing feel and hip vibe. There's a lovely wall waterfall in the foyer, a nice distraction from the heat and hustle/bustle of checking into the facility. The air conditioning in the rooms was effective and the white noise it produced helped me sleep soundly. We ate at the restaurant directly next door and on the water (Arcene?), which had a modern take on tex-mex. The duck chalupas were great as were the crab tacos -- the buttermilk fried oysters were also a treat. Highly recommend.

Comfortable bed... Clean work out room, and good location on the Riverwalk.
Nickel & Dime expenses, hotel was too dark throughout common areas, horrible parking access, no pool or hot tub.

The quiet environment well maintained and attention to detail.
No notice that hotel doesn't didn't actually have parking available and that the only real option was Valete remote parking at $ 30.00 per day. No pool on premises. Both of these commonly expected immineties were not detailed in their webpage.

This is a relaxing hotel. It seems too cool for the Riverwalk. It has always been a favorate of mine. I wish there were more Valencias, especially in Austin.
Lobby on the 2nd floor. Not a huge deal, but.......

Just a smart choice for a short layover in San Antonio with high value for money. The rooms were clean and spacious, made my stay comfortable. Don't forget to check the coffee service in the lobby-it's a nice perk.

Location, Location, Location. Staff was outstanding in delivery of services and very informative of restaurants and other facilities in the area. Guest are treated with high priority. Rooms are designed in a more masculine manner, but totally acceptable. Only thing missing is a sauna room and good clock/radios,
lighting tends to be limited throughout the hotel hallways. many area stores and shop are closed on Sundays. Many homeless and area beggars pollute the area. Visable urban decay (boarded up stories and shops, dirty sidewalks, smell of urine on one side street)

Overall stay was great because it was clean and comfortable. I'm a germaphobia when it comes to staying at hotel, but this was the first hotel I don't feel so disgusted but instead felt like as if I was in my own home. Morning staff was super friendly.
The matress can be a little stift for my liking but the pillows and blanket made up for that.

Noticed the sheets looked dirty, like bloody and the comforter looked dirty.

Unexpected kindness at the front desk
Came back to the hotel after exploring and was greeted with warm smiles and helpful staff. The riverside location made sightseeing easy!
The parking fees were a bit steep. The room was not cleaned daily without prior notice, disappointing.
